Singer/Songwriter Night

The Capitol is hosting a night for the singers and songwriters of our region to share their lyrics and voices. Diversify your downtown music experience! Come be in community with artists and experience unique genres and points of view.  This event is hosted in collaboration with the artists. Small Farm Aid

Get down to earth and back to the soil for this incredible lineup of talent at the Capitol. With proceeds from the concert benefitting Re-Tree BG, this will be a night of grounding as a community to celebrate each other and the land from which we come and to which we owe so much. We are honored to be stacking the lineup with stellar Kentuckians who are dedicated to the health and care of their communities.  Aaron Raitiere is a grammy award winning songwriter from Danville, Kentucky as well as a lyricist, performer, and visual artist. According to Rolling Stone Magazine, Raitiere “excels at writing the kind of country songs that blend a biting sense of humor with a little something extra.” Laurel Lewis is a songwriter, singer, performer, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist who speaks to the darkness in others and eases our burdens by shining a light on the tender things that hide amidst painful situations.   These headlining acts will be supported by artists Bowling Green music lovers already know and love: Willie Huston, Mark Whitley, Candace Barbee, Hugh Trimble and Hayley Hanes.    Re-Tree BG  is a local nonprofit aimed at expanding the urban forest canopy of Bowling Green, KY by providing trees for planting and educating the public about the value and benefits of trees.
